The Story Behind Phoenix
Phoenix Mushroom Company was born from one of the hardest seasons our family has ever faced. When Fred was diagnosed with colorectal cancer at just 44 years old, everything changed. Suddenly, we were researching treatment, recovery, nutrition, supplements, and every possible way to support overall wellness through something no family is ever truly prepared for.
Functional mushrooms kept showing up in that research, but the more we looked, the more we wanted to know. Where were these products coming from? What was actually in the bottle? Were they made with care, or simply mass-produced and marketed well?
That curiosity became a calling. Fred began growing mushrooms himself, learning every step from cultivation to capsule. Phoenix represents resilience, renewal, and building something meaningful from a difficult chapter. We are still walking through parts of that journey, but this company has become part of how we move forward — with hope, honesty, and purpose.
